Meet the members

Jo has extensive experience in school governance gained over the last 18 years, including four years as Chair of Governors at a large primary school in Richmond upon Thames and two years as Chair of Trustees at a secondary school multi-academy trust. She was most recently Chair of Governors at a primary school in Kingston. Jo has also been a trustee at a special school multi academy trust and has a strong interest in special education needs.
Previously, Jo has been a trustee at Citizens Advice Richmond.
Jo continues as a chair and a member for the Richmond, Kingston & Wandsworth Admission Appeals Service.
In her professional career, Jo has led teams to harmonise policy and operational practice across Europe for a multi-national corporation.

Janet has worked in primary and secondary schools for over 15 years, firstly as a school governor, then a Chair of Governors, and lately as a National Leader of Governance , offering support to schools, headteachers and chairs. 
She was usually placed in schools by a Local Authority, where colleagues or a recent Ofsted inspection had identified weaknesses in governance.
She worked closely with the Russell Education Trust to set up Turing House, the first Free School in LB Richmond, and was the school's first Chair of Governors.
Away from education, Janet has recently set up a charity offering free cookery lessons to people facing challenging circumstances which have led to food poverty.

Emma is a qualified lawyer and has a diverse professional background having worked in financial and business services, private equity and real estate both here and abroad.
